CELEBRATION OF MARSHA’S LIFE SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, IL with Bro. Bill Ikemire and Bro. Don Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery.

Marsha Holmes, 70, of Oblong, IL passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 6:26 p.m. at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL.
Marsha was born in Terre Haute, IN on November 15, 1944, the daughter of Roy Ellsworth Fasig and Garnet Evelyn (Secrest) Fasig. On April 13, 1963 she married Arthur L.”Art” Holmes and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2000.
Marsha was a graduate of Robinson High School class of 1962; attended Seed Chapel Methodist Church; a ward clerk at Crawford Memorial Hospital; she sold crop insurance for many years, was a farmer’s wife and a home maker. Marsha was a township trustee for Martin Township for many years; graduated from Beauty College in Terre Haute, In; she was a Blue Bird leader, a Camp Fire leader and a 4-H leader. Marsha enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies, Hallmark Christmas ornaments, Cherished Teddies, reading, and working cross word puzzles.
Marsha is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law Sarah and John Birkofer, Robinson, IL and Cindy Williamson and fiancé Gary Collins, Jr., Robinson, IL; a step son Jeff Monroney, Robinson, IL; five grandchildren Bobby Kintner and fiancé Staci Butler, Jenna and Maralee Birkofer, Cory and Colton Williamson, all of Robinson, IL; a brother and sister-in-law Norman and Joann Fasig, California; a nephew and his wife Jeff and Shirlee Paitson, Terre Haute, IN.
Preceding Marsha in death were her parents; husband Art Homes; a sister Judy Paitson and nephew Gregg Fasig.
